The feeling is right! Title Town returns on Saturday, March 31st!

Once again, it’s on. For those not familiar with TITLE TOWN, the last few months have been bananas. It’s that one night of the month when Pittsburgh’s finest, funkiest dancers take over the Shadow Lounge for a night showcasing all things good about soul music.

Come get down with us on Saturday, March 31st for a sweaty, drink and dance-filled soiree of the highest order. We’ll be doin’ the usual, all-vinyl, all-45 mix: equal parts ‘60s soul grooves, deep funk, end-of-the-night disco and some of that old, raw rhythm & blues to top it all off.

Joining forces with us this month is none other than Brooklyn, New York’s David Griffiths. David helped us kick off the inaugural Title Town a few years ago and he’s back again this month for another sure-to-be-funky guest spot.

In addition to DJing, David has curated some of the finest soul and funk reissues on labels like Daptone and Kay-Dee Records. This month we’re featuring The Darling Dears And Funky Heavy “And I Love You / I Don’t Think I’ll Ever Love Another” 45 on Griffiths’ own Orivious Records. It’s an official, from-the-master-tapes issue of one of the most sought after funk single ever recorded.

So whaddya say? In a time when dance music is suffering, the music takes center stage at TITLE TOWN. Move and groove to the CLASSICS from artists like the ISLEY BROTHERS, ETTA JAMES, and FREDA PAYNE, plus shake it on down to highly danceable, rare soul and funk cuts from New York, New Orleans, Detroit and everything in between. The cover is cheap as chips and there will be drink specials til’ midnight.

Do your ears a favor and don’t miss this party.

Early arrival is recommended. You must enter through the Shadow Lounge on Baum Boulevard.
