Soul Travelin’ Blog Update: Soulsville & The Crescent City

Greetings from Lafayette, Louisiana! We’re making a much needed pit stop in Cajun Country for food, beer and some sleep.  Thought we’d post a quick blog update with a few cool photos from the road. Shout out to Shangri-La Records in Memphis and a big thank you to Jameson at the Poplar Lounge and DJ Buck Wilders for spinning some sweet jams. People can sure get down on a Sunday night!

As you can see from the photos, the music, food and amazing people of New Orleans have kept us busy for a few days. It’s our first time here, but from what we can tell from our soul travels…the city is alive and people, both young and old, are keeping the faith and pushing things forward with an energy and passion like no other. We’re stoked to be playing records this Sunday at The Saint (961 St Mary, Lower Garden District).  Music starts around 10pm.

Tomorrow (Friday, Jan. 20), check us out at the Big Top in Houston where we’ll be guest DJ’ing at A Fistful of Soul. On Saturday night, we’ll be at The Highball in Austin, TX with DJ’s BSears and Coolhands at The New Day Soul Party!

Peaches Records, New Orleans.
